Concussion Screening & Diagnosis
Our team uses objective testing to establish a benchmark for an individual’s normal brain function. Objective testing is necessary to properly diagnose the severity of the injury. Our physicians utilize neurobehavioral and neuropsychological testing remotely such as ImPACT, the number one software used nationwide in testing for head injuries. Our physicians also utilize a state-of-the-art vestibular Biosway balance testing machine in the office setting and the modified BESS balance test virtually to assess concussion-related balance and coordination impairment.
Return-to-Work Evaluation
Patients are thoroughly evaluated based on their symptoms and progression before being cleared to return to work for full duty. It is recommended to return to light activity as soon as possible to promote recovery.
Care Coordination with Providers
While most patients can be treated in house by one concussion specialist, Genesis Comp Concussion occasionally partners with trusted physical therapists and other specialists to ensure each patient receives high-quality, comprehensive care
